Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation 50/50 Raffle Benefits Navy League

ARLINGTON, Va. —The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation hosted 50/50 raffle to benefit the Navy League of the United States at the Redskins’ annual “Salute to Service” military appreciation game against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, Nov. 25, at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.

Navy League volunteers educated attendees on the mission of the Navy League and sold raffle tickets beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the parking lots, during tailgate time, through the end of the third quarter. The winning ticket number was 312632403 and the person won $5,353. As of Nov. 26, the ticket remains unclaimed and the winner should contact the Redskins Charitable Foundation.

Individuals who were unable to attend the Nov. 25 game can still support the Navy League. For more information, to donate or to find out how to become a member of the Navy League, visit www.navyleague.org.

The Navy League of the United States is the nation’s leading advocate for the sea services. Supported by more than 46,000 members and 250 councils, the Navy League educates members of Congress and the American public on the role and contributions of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine. They host programs for sea service members and their families to enhance morale and show the nation’s appreciation. The Navy League also offers scholarships and sponsors youth leadership and development programs. Earlier this fall, the Navy League established the Washington Navy Yard Survivors Fund to provide financial assistance to those families most affected by the shooting at the Washington Navy Yard on Sept. 16.
