About the Navy LeagueCommunications

The Communications Program is fundamentally important to the Navy League on both the national and council levels. The program seeks to inform Navy League members, the American people and the U.S. government that America
is a maritime nation, and that its national defense and economic well being are dependent upon a strong U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine. This is accomplished through several outlets, foremost among them Seapower magazine, the official publication of the Navy League of the United States, and the Seapower website. The Navy League Presentations series provides our local councils with the tools they need to reach out to and engage with other organizations in their communities in an effort to educate them about the Navy League and how they can help support sea service members and their families. Communications also manages the Navy League’s social media presence using platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Flickr, and works closely with Membership and Legislative Affairs to produce “The Navy Leaguer” newsletter for members, and the annual Maritime Policy Statement.
